Want to start to heal your animals and yourself at the same time?
Reiki is a Japanese spiritual and healing practice that supports one in being more centered and grounded and less stressed. As an added benefit, Reiki can promote healing possibilities – for animals and their human caregivers – on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Reiki is commonly used at home with pets, and it is ideal in shelter, sanctuary, and foster environments. You’ll find your animal relaxing more quickly, minimizing stress-related issues and illnesses, and starting to heal from past traumas.
In this foundational course, you will learn:
- What Reiki is
- The history of Reiki
- The five elements of the System of Reiki
- Your connection to the energy of Reiki
- Classical Japanese meditations and breathing techniques
- Reiki with animals
- Animal Reiki Code of Ethics
- Treatments with animals
- Treatments on self and people

Lots of time is reserved for practice and meditation so that by the end of the 2nd day of class, you will have a full experience of Reiki energy.
Once trained, you are invited to join the Reiki Expansion Group. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month to deepen our connection to Reiki. This includes a brief lesson, a 30-minute meditation or technique, then an hour of group Reiki...where everyone gets a treatment from the group. For more details, click here.

At the end of this course, you will receive a Shoden Level I and Animal Reiki Certification in Usui Reiki Ryoho.

This class is based on teachings by Kathleen Prasad, renowned Animal Reiki teacher. To understand the basics of what you will be learning before you attend class, it is recommended that you read her book titled, Animal Reiki.
