Reiki Treatments For People

A Reiki treatment helps people who are feeling physically sick, spiritually, emotionally, mentally or physically stuck, ungrounded, unfocused, uninspired, needing to make a big decision, or just wanting to give themselves a nice, relaxing experience.

A treatment consists of the client lying on a massage table, fully clothed. The client is asked to set an intention for the session, i.e. what they want out of the treatment. Joyce then places her hands on various places on the client's body (a hands-off method can be utilized, if preferred), using the Reiki energy to guide her to the places where the life force energy feels out of balance, weak, or stuck. The treatment lasts about 45 minutes.

After the treatment, the client is free to share anything that came up for them, but generally no coaching is provided at that time. The client is encouraged to reflect upon the experience over the next several hours or days.

What Joyce won't provide is any diagnosis or prognosis, as that is not what a Reiki Practitioner does. What Joyce can provide is any sensations she felt during the treatment, without interpretation.

Stimulus Package: Oftentimes, a series of 4 treatments in succession produces the greatest benefit, especially when the client has not had a Reiki treatment in some time. Getting a treatment every day for several days promotes faster healing as the client is "jump-started" every day.

Reiki Treatments For Hospice Patients

Reiki treatments greatly benefit Hospice patients by helping to reduce the physical, mental, and emotional stresses associated with the process of transitioning Reiki treatments also provide deep relaxation and can even promote joy. By receiving regular treatments, the dying are better able to embrace this most intimate and sacred experience.

For Hospice, the goal of the treatments is not necessarily to heal, but more to help them with their transition. Reiki Treatments For Animals

An animal can benefit from a Reiki treatment if they are sick, seem lethargic or depressed, recently came from a shelter or from boarding, are exhibiting undesirable behaviors, or have experienced trauma in their life. It is important to contact your veterinarian in addition to seeking Reiki treatments, as Reiki is a complimentary healing method.

A treatment consists of Joyce coming to where the animal lives. It is important that the animal is comfortable and familiar with his surroundings. Joyce sits in the room/area with the animal (his person can be present if they wish) and offers Reiki from a distance of about three feet. The animal may or may not choose to approach for a hands-on treatment. Either way, the results of the treatment are the same. The animal determines the length of the treatment, which can vary from 15-45 minutes.

During the treatment, it is common for the animal to fall asleep. Although some animals run from Reiki the first time they encounter it, after a few sessions they welcome the healing and balancing it provides.

Distance Treatments

For Animals

Animals can receive the benefit of Reiki through distance treatments. Here, the animal's person and Joyce determine the time and day of the treatment. At the appointed time, the person makes sure the animal is not distracted with food, playing, or other activities. Joyce makes a mental and spiritual connection with the animal and visualizes placing her hands in various places on the animal's body, focusing on areas where the life force energy feels blocked, weak, or out of balance. When the treatment is over, Joyce sends an email to the animal's person, where a dialog can begin about the Reiki treatment.
